California recently announced a $500 million Small Business Covid-19 Relief Grant program for eligible small business owners and nonprofits who have been impacted by COVID-19 and the health and safety restrictions. Grants up to $25,000 will be given to eligible small businesses and nonprofits to help cover expenses during the pandemic.
AmPac will be offering webinars on Thursday, December 31st and Monday, January 4th at 10:30 am PST to help break down the process of applying for this grant and to answer questions you may have; these webinars will be recorded and posted on our website for future reference if you are unable to attend. In addition, we will offer Q&A sessions Tuesday-Friday January 5th – 8th at 10:30 am PST. This grant is not first-come, first-serve, so attendance at any of these sessions will prove beneficial. The grant website, www.CAReliefGrant.com, is now live so you can visit to review your eligibility, prepare your business documents, and get ready to apply. Applications for Round 1 will open on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 6 am PST, and will close end of the day on Friday, January 8th. Round 2 will be announced in the near future.
The program is administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA) and disbursed through Lendistry, a Community Development Financial Institution serving as the Intermediary.
