SBA Loans and the Government Shutdown: How AmPac Is Staying Prepared
The U.S. federal government remains in a shutdown, with many operations paused until Congress reaches a funding agreement. While the situation may create uncertainty for small business owners, AmPac Business Capital continues to stay proactive and ready to serve our clients who rely on SBA loans during the government shutdown.
What the Government Shutdown Means for SBA Loans
SBA employees are furloughed, and no new loan approvals or SBA loan numbers are being issued during the government shutdown. This includes SBA 7a Community Advantage and SBA 504 programs. Loans that already have SBA-issued loan numbers can still proceed to closing and disbursement, provided all other conditions are met. For the latest updates, visit sba.gov.
How AmPac Continues Supporting Small Businesses
Even while federal systems are limited, the AmPac team remains hard at work:
- Processing and underwriting loan applications so they are ready to go the moment SBA systems reopen
- Assisting clients with documentation, credit readiness, and packaging to avoid delays
- Educating borrowers on the importance of submitting complete applications early
- Monitoring SBA announcements and communicating timely updates to clients
- Funding and underwriting AmPac’s direct loans under $150,000, which remain active during the shutdown
Our Commitment Through the Shutdown
AmPac operates with the mindset that preparation and consistency lead to success. With faith and a commitment to excellence, we remain focused on our mission to finance and foster small business success from cradle to legacy.
